after my surgery

with such tender care

It felt like I was being touched by an angel

healed from the heat radiating through your fingertips

From this day forward I will love you as if it’s our last day together

I’m tired of wasting my life reserving myself in order to preserve my dignity

I’m giving you my all

Forever

Until it kills me

Until every single cell in my body has dedicated its life to you

Until every single cell becomes the stars

And I can finally decorate the sky with the brilliance of everything I have ever felt for you

And you can look up and smile knowing it’s all for you
